The Michael J. Quill Irish Cultural & Sports Centre, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) educational non-profit corporation founded in 1987 in the hamlet of East Durham, New York. Its mission is to promote and preserve the cultural and artistic heritage of the Irish and those of Irish descent. We are also active in encouraging and promoting the development of younger artists who will carry their heritage with them into the next century.
While dedicated to maintaining the traditional aspects of our past, the Centre will present to the public, a variety of Irish cultural programs, both historic and contemporary, in fine arts, language, literature, theater, music, dance and folk arts. Our Office, “Tir Na Nog”, is located on Route 145 just before the entrance to the Festival Grounds. Welcome to the Milk Run
Gearing up for the Annual Irish Festival May 26 & 27, 2012
Thank you for making us part of your day!!
The Milk Run is a Convenience Store and Truck Stop, gas & diesel 24/7 via credit card, ATM, Ice, Propane, Firewood, Groceries. Open daily 6 a.m to 9 p.m. for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We strive to provide a friendly place for friends and family to meet, relax, catch up and make new friends.
We use Boars Head Deli meats and cheeses in our deli, offer homemade salads, pies, lunch and dinner specials and soft serve ice cream is available April through September.
The Milk Run is a convenient stop when you do not want to make that 40 minute round trip visit to the local supermarket.
Only a five minute drive from many local resorts and attractions: Zoom Flume Water Park, K & K Equestrian Center, Supersonic Speedway, the Annual Irish Festival, Grey Fox Blue Grass Festival, Irish Arts Week, Catskill Mountain Thunder Motorcycle Festival, Gavin’s Guiness Festival and many more.
Perhaps on an early weekend morning or evening you might be lucky enough to witness or better yet assist our local balloonist Storybook Balloons launch his hot air ballon from the field next to the Milk Run.
